Bradley N. Pollock
Brad Pollock is a senior partner with Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chartered. He has been practicing law since 1995 and concentrates his practice on compassionately and aggressively representing seriously injured clients. Brad understands the profound physical, emotional, and financial tolls that a serious injury can have not only on his injured clients, but also on their families. He practices in the areas of personal injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, construction negligence, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, product liability, automobile and trucking accidents, animal attacks, and fall injury. As a trial lawyer, Brad has obtained record setting money verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients throughout the Chicagoland area, which have been featured in the news media.
While the award of money damages cannot undo the life changing effects of a traumatic injury, it can provide necessary compensation for the losses and future needs experienced by victims of wrongful conduct. Some of Brad’s noteworthy cases include a Cook County, Illinois settlement award of $18,605,733.00 to a Chicago construction worker who suffered a brain injury following the collapse of a piece of construction equipment; a Will County medical malpractice record verdict of $1,066,000.00 on behalf of an 82 year old woman that sustained a hand injury; Ed Walsh and Brad hold the record for a paraplegia injury in DuPage County, Illinois amounting to $5,700,000.00; a $7,287,087.00 medical malpractice jury verdict in Cook County, Illinois; and a $5,250,000.00 settlement in a Cook County, Illinois explosion case, along with other multimillion dollars verdicts and settlements.
In addition to practicing law, Brad serves the legal community by holding various honorary positions, which include the following: appointment in 2010 by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve on its Committee on Character and Fitness for the Second District and in 2013 Brad was named as Chairman of that Committee; serving on the Board of Managers for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA); serving on the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Tort Committee since 2010 and was named the Secretary of that Committee in 2014; appointment to the ISBA Civil Practice Committee in 2014; acting as General Legal Counsel for the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) from 2011-2013; Past President of the American Inns of Court Robert E. Jones Chapter; serving on the Advisory Committee for the College of DuPage Paralegal Program; acting as invited lecturer at Midwestern University for over 10 years; and acting as an invited judge for the John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology and Privacy Law, involving law schools from all over the world.
Brad has been named a “Super Lawyer” (limited to the top five percent of lawyers in the State of Illinois) by Illinois Super Lawyers from 2008 to the present. He is also an invited member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers since 2013 and holds a Superb rating from AVVO. Brad has given numerous lectures to fellow attorneys in the area of injury litigation.
